Our Next Generation

Montana’s kids are revolutionizing our state. They’re going to solve the problems of the future, but they’re also finding the solutions to today’s. They’re the most innovative, inspired, tech-savvy people we know. It’s important we acknowledge their successes, and thank them for what they’re contributing to our state.

In honor of Pat and Carol Williams, Forward Montana Foundation does just that with its 25 Under 25 recognition. This award acknowledges the innovators and students, entrepreneurs and workers, volunteers and movement builders who are already change-makers, movement builders, and civic leaders.

If you need a pick-me-up, some inspiration, or just some faith restored that the kids will be alright, check out the slideshow of the recipients below. And don’t be shy to become comfortable with their names, as you may be hearing them for a while.

If you are a young person in the state wanting to build power, expand skill sets and grow networks please consider attending the Montana Youth Organizing Summit on September 9, at Helena College from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can register here!

Also, anyone can attend the awards ceremony celebrating the 25 Under 25 recipients on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Holter Art Museum in Helena from 4:30 to 7 p.m.  The event will feature keynote speaker Whitney Williams and showcase the accomplishments of this year’s awardees. You can purchase tickets for the event here!

And to all the awardees, thank you for all you’ve already done, and all that you will soon accomplish. From all of us at Prairie Populist, here’s to you!
